DERAILED: Trolley Tour and Train Ride 

Location: Chattanooga Choo Choo 

Date & Time: August 18th | 10:30 AM – 2:15 PM

Embark on a journey through time as you board a 112-year old steam train at the iconic Chattanooga Choo Choo terminal. It will take you on a narrated exploration of some historic sites which highlights the city’s transformation from an industrial hub to a modern cultural center. The tour will end along the scenic route of the Tennessee River. 

River Gallery July – August Exhibit 

Location: River Gallery 

Date & Time: August 18 | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Price: Free

Art enthusiasts will find solace and inspiration at the gallery’s diverse collection of contemporary artworks by both local and nationally acclaimed artists. From paintings and sculptures to mixed media and photography, the exhibit offers a kaleidoscope of creative expressions. For this month, the works of Debra Nadelhoffer and Bill Suttles will be displayed. 

2023 UFFL Chattanooga 

Location: Camp Jordan 

Date & Time: August 19-20 

Head over to Camp Jordan in East Ridge to witness high-energy ultimate flag football matches featuring teams from across the region. Bring your family and friends for an afternoon of athletic prowess and camaraderie as you witness the fast-paced dynamic gameplay of all players.

Sunshine & Lemonade Festival 

Location: The Commons 

Date & Time: August 19th | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Price: Free

Celebrate the essence of summer at The Commons. This family-friendly event embraces the season with a variety of activities including artisanal lemonade vendors, food trucks, live music performances, petting zoo, pony rides and a bustling market with local crafts and products.

Artful Yoga with Cybele Steen 

Location: Hunter Museum of American Art 

Date & Time: August 20th | 1:00PM – 3:30 PM

Price: $5 donation

Nurture your mind, body and spirit through the fusion of art and yoga at the Hunter Museum led by instructor Cybele Steen. The session offers a unique encounter where participants practice yoga amidst the museum’s stunning artworks while encouraging one’s mindfulness and creativity. Participants must bring their own yoga mat. All levels of yoga experience are welcome.
