The North Chattanooga Neighborhood Association (NCNA) is a newly formed group aimed at connecting the community and addressing local issues. Led by President Alison Poole and Treasurer Ben Connor, they held their first meeting last February, which was prompted by recent developments like the Frazier Avenue reconfiguration and the Hamilton County Schools Facilities Plan. The association seeks to create a unified voice for residents, ensuring inclusivity and representation in civic forums. NCNA encompasses a diverse range of neighborhoods and has established five committees to focus on key areas such as beautification, road safety, responsible growth, schools, and social dynamism.
Their strong advocacy to promote community engagement is evident in their outreach efforts to involve residents from various backgrounds and living arrangements through initiatives such as potlucks, neighborhood watches, and ownership programs. Its main goal is to not just improve the surrounding aesthetics but also foster a thriving relationship between its residents gearing towards a positive change.
