Chattanooga Whiskey is putting a musical spin on Tennessee whiskey with Bad Chattanoogan, a new release featuring toasted maple wood records that can actually be played. The limited-edition collection includes two blends, Side A and Side B, each finished for one month with 15 maple records engraved with an original Chattanooga-inspired song. The whiskey is a blend of three Tennessee mash bills, filtered through sugar maple charcoal and aged for more than four years in charred and toasted oak.
The music is an important part of the story, too. Creative Director Rich Abercrombie and his band, Dollars Family, wrote the songs featured on the records, and every bottle comes with a playable four-inch Tiny Vinyl hangtag that spins at 33 rpm. For an early taste of the release, the Listening Party is a 21+ event that will feature live music, cocktails and stories from the team. Limited quantities will also be available in the weeks following the release.
