Home Uplift Program is a partnership between EPB Energy Pros and TVA EnergyRight, which has provided energy-saving upgrades to over 900 households by helping residents save an average of $450 annually on their energy bills. Funded by EPB, TVA, and a recent $100,000 contribution from the City of Chattanooga, they plan to extend improvements to an additional 100 homes by next summer. Among the list of upgrades are home air sealing, HVAC replacements, duct repair, water heater, cleaning and tune-up which was tailored to reduce energy usage and enhance household savings. 

By investing in energy efficiency, Home Uplift supports long-time residents in reducing their cost of living amid rising inflation. Mayor Tim Kelly also emphasized its role in making the area more affordable for working families as guided by EPB and TVA’s commitment to supporting community members. Furthermore, EPB Energy Pros will offer valuable resources like free home energy consultations and personalized efficiency advice to assist consumers make further strides in energy conservation, use of solar, and EV charger installations.
