Scenic City is preparing for a major entertainment milestone with the announcement of the new Sunset Amphitheater Chattanooga at The Bend®. Backed by a $300 million investment from Urban Story Ventures and VENU Holding Corporation, it is expected to become one of the largest live entertainment spaces in Tennessee. The 12,500-seat amphitheater will feature a canopied design that supports both open-air and partially enclosed events, making it the city’s first multi-seasonal concert venue.  The project is designed to attract national touring acts, large festivals, and year-round events that previously they could not accommodate. With premium seating, lawn spaces, diverse dining options, and luxury FireSuites™, the venue is designed to create a full entertainment experience for everyone.

City officials and developers say the project could reshape the area’s future as a premier destination for entertainment in the Southeast. Beyond concerts, the development is expected to create jobs, support local businesses, and generate more than $4.2 billion in regional economic impact over time. Moreover, it will include artist-focused spaces such as hospitality suites and green rooms to better accommodate major touring acts and productions. This marks the largest entertainment investment to date, reflecting growing confidence in tourism  and its evolving cultural landscape.
